Chat Sound Received for Mac/Linux

When hosts receive messages via the Windows client, there is a received sound notification. That feature would also be helpful for the Mac/Linux clients.

remove create support session with a code as default

Thomas Smallwood 7 years ago updated by Scott Linak 7 years ago 3

Set create session as public as default rather than with a code because we don't use codes  or revert back to the old way where you can choose how to create. Or even better allow us to choose as an option

Answer
anonymous 7 years ago

Hi Thomas,

We'll release an extension that'll allow the default session mode to be set to public within the next day or so. We also added the ability to immediately join the session after creation back in. I'll update the post once the extension is live.

way to edit an encoded video

Deepak 7 years ago updated by anonymous 6 years ago 2

Is there a way to modify the encrypted video to blur certain portion so that

when it is decrypted by the qc team it is either blurred out or blanked out.

I can do this on the decrypted video but would like to know if it can be

done on encrypted file.

OR

Can I edit a portion of decrypted video and encrypt it back? If so, could

you send me the instructions.

The reason I want these to be saved back as Raw files is - whenever someone

tries to transcode these it will already be edited(the portion that I need

blurred or removed).

My system works this way.

1. QC agent logs in to the CRM.

2. They send a request for a video file.

3. Video file is then downloaded from the server, transcoded and

played in a media player.

It is after step 3 that one realizes the need to edit the file. So it has to

convert back to raw file, so the next time someone requests the same file it

already has the required modifications. Can this be achieved?

Security Show Scoped Permissions when Edit Role

Jonathan Lehman 7 years ago updated by Caitlin M Barnes (Product Manager) 6 years ago 1

Currently when under Admin --> Security --> Edit Roles, you have to scroll through all of the "Scoped Permissions" to find what the Role is selected for.  I would like to see what the Role has access to at the top then the rest be alphabetical.  Currently this is "Bold" but can be missed easily when scrolling through, or when multiple are selected.

Security Show Role when Edit User

Jonathan Lehman 7 years ago 0

Currently when under Admin --> Security --> Edit User, you have to scroll through all of the "Roles" to find what the user is selected for.  I would like to see what the user has checked at the top then the rest be alphabetical.  This will help see what someone has at a glance and be easier to read if they have multiple checked.

Allow session name/number to be submitted with Enter key or automatically

MSN 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 2

Allowing the the session name/number to be submitted with the Enter key on the keyboard would be a simple change that would make the end user experience that much easier. Right now, the right arrow icon (which is quite subtle) must be clicked. Most users have the expectation that pressing enter will submit whatever they've typed in, so there may be some occasions where users have pressed the Enter key and are oblivious to the fact that nothing is happening and they must click the arrow.

Perhaps even better than this would be for the code to submitted automatically as long as it's a valid code. Visual feedback should be displayed to the user so they know that they don't need to press anything, such as a spinner and disabled text field.

Rename 'ScreenConnect'

ian wilkie 7 years ago updated by Sean White 6 years ago 1

Rename 'ScreenConnect' in add/remove Programs to 'ScreenConnect Server' so it is absolutely clear (much like the ScreenConnect Client (XXXXXXXXXX) ) what it is.

There can be no doubt exactly what you are uninstalling when removing unwanted applications.

Thank you for your feedback. We will update our documentation to make it clear which item to remove in Add/Remove programs.

Add Web Resource for LoginPanel.OneTimePasswordShouldTrustCheckBoxVisible so the checkbox can be hidden

rbodford 7 years ago updated by anonymous 7 years ago 1

Add a Web Resource for LoginPanel.OneTimePasswordShouldTrustCheckBoxVisible so the checkbox can be hidden. As it is now, you can set the "TrustDeviceExpireDays" to 0 but the checkbox remains visible and this confuses users.

Answer

In 6.4, if TrustDeviceExpireDays is set to 0, the checkbox will be hidden.

Maximise Screen Button for the ScreenConnect Client in all forms

Colin 7 years ago updated by anonymous 6 years ago 1

I might have suggested it elsewhere, but what I would like is to have an additional red button on top that similar expands to the full screen view, with the 'ESC' key message display briefly to remind audience members how to return to their previous screen.

This could be used in any situation where the Client is looking at the screen of the Host, being it for Screenconnect Meeting, Support, Access. It is then simple and obvious to an inexperienced audience user of screenconnect meeting (or even support or access too) to do this when they want to.

Online Help resources for screenconnect meeting end users/clients

Colin 7 years ago 0

I would like to see Online Help resources for screenconnect meeting end users/clients. Currently, according to technical support, there is only this for administrators and meeting facilitators:

https://docs.connectwise.com/ConnectWise_Control_Documentation/Get_started/Remote_meeting_guide

However, this is inadequate for end users who are wanting to merely attend a online meeting. If some cannot not easily help themselves to connect, its diminishes the value of your product. It needs to be for the lay person who is time poor and low IT skills.
