We would like the ability to blank the screen on the guest side to disable the monitor. Black screen still shows some interaction on the guest PC.

Set multiple Maintenance actions at once

stefan pirhofer 6 years ago updated by Caitlin M Barnes (Product Manager) 6 years ago 2

At the moment it is not possible to add, modify,... multiple maintenance actions at once. Means ConnectWise control service will be restarted each time a new actions has been created or modified. To prevent Service down times and active sessions disconnections, it would be nice to set up several maintenance actions at once.

Create list of URLs/Links to push

pchristian 6 years ago updated by anonymous 6 years ago 2

My request is to be able to create a list of common URL's we might use, and have an option to "push" those to the guest and have it open in whatever their default browser is would be nice.

I accomplish this already by creating a shortcut to a URL on my desktop, and then copying the .URL file to the toolbox.

However, it'd be cool to have the process streamlined a little more by having a section in the toolbar where we can populate and organize a list of URL's without the process I'm using of first creating a .URL file on my desktop, then uploading such said .URL file to the toolbox.

many thanks!

Create custom nested subgroups under main session group

carson 6 years ago updated by Caitlin M Barnes (Product Manager) 6 years ago 1

We would like to be able to create a subgroup under an organization (based on things like Notes and Session Names) and then be able to give the subgroups custom names.

Example:

Main Session Group: Hospital (CustomProperty1 LIKE 'Hospital')

Subgroup: Clinic Machines (Name LIKE '*Clinic*')

Hospital (All Machines)

 >Clinic Machines (Only machines with "Clinic" in the name)

Thanks!

Answer

Hi Carson,

Check out this doc on how to create session subgroups with custom naming conventions. https://docs.connectwise.com/ConnectWise_Control_Documentation/Get_started/Host_page/Session_groups/Create_session_subgroups

multiple branding over one server

Paul Hugues 6 years ago updated by Sean White 6 years ago 2

A partner asked us to provide support for their customers using our infrastructure while using their name. We would like to be able to offer multiple branding over one Control server.

for example:

main.support could bring our branded page for support

client1.support could bring a client branded page for the support we are provinding to them

client2.support could bring another branded page for the support we are provinding to them

etc..

App.Config DisabledCommandNames Option in Roles

CSFi 6 years ago updated by Mike Bannerman 5 years ago 2

There needs to be an option to allow some or all of the App.Config file setting to be used in the Roles settings. Currently if you want to remove the option to not allow someone to Blank Guess Monitor it's a global setting which financial institutions don't want to happen. On the other hand if your staff are working from home they do want the ability to blank their screens.
