The Guest session starter requires a trailing /.

Larry 8 years ago updated by Michael Bannerman 8 years ago 1

This was requested by a partner back in Jan 2015. Just adding to the echo just in case.

Hi Nicholas,

Unfortunately, we are aware of this issue but have yet to find any way around like problem. For SSL piggybacking, we simply pass on your URL to Microsoft's API, which now appears to require a trailing slash when specifying a virtual directory (meaning, if your piggybacked site ishttps://mysecuresite.com/SC/ then your users would need to include that trailing slash in order for the page to load correctly). Apparently, the trailing slash is meant to differentiate the virtual directory from an actual directory.

I will get a defect registered regarding the Guest Session Starter Exe, so that we can get that fixed.

Thanks.

Regards,

Reid Bodford

Add button to Host Client to open the download folder on guest machine

Administrator 9 years ago updated by anonymous 6 years ago 4

Partner would like to have a button to open the guest machine download folder.

User Story:

A technician may need to quickly open the download folder to retrieve a file. A button that is accessible from the host client to directly open guest folders would accomplish this.

This should default to the C:\Users\LoggedOnUser\Documents\ScreenConnect\Files directory.

Ability to assign guest initiated sessions to a particular host

Administrator 9 years ago updated by swhite (Product Manager) 1 year ago 2

For Guest initiated sessions, it would be great to assign the session to the first Host that connects automatically; better yet, to the connected Host whenever HostConnectedCount = 1 because this will cover the case when an assigned Host is joined by another colleague and then leaves the session to that new colleague (because assigned Host remains the same at the moment which is another issue).

Alternatively, this can be resolved if you add an event detail such as HostConnectedName which is better because now we can create a session group to list all the sessions that a Host is currently part of. This will also give us options to create useful session triggers.

Can you have all support sessions removed at a time of the day?

Larry 8 years ago updated by anonymous 8 years ago 3

Partner says connections remain open after a technician is finished with a client. They are not ending the sessions

Add "IsEnded" reporting option for sessions to Reports API

Steven 8 years ago updated by anonymous 8 years ago 4

From CW-7594073

When using the Reports Manager Extension in 5.5, there is no easy way to identify a session that has been ended using the options available. When creating extensions, sessions have the "IsEnded" property, which would be very helpful for the reports manager to be able to access, to be able to get reports on only those sessions that have not been Ended. This appears to be missing from the API itself, and not just the extension.

Display a warning whenever an event triggers a ScreenConnect service to restart

Michael Bannerman 8 years ago updated by Irshad Mallick 9 months ago 4

I would like to request a warning dialog on save anywhere in the Admin area that would cause the server to restart its services.
We were recently working with support and a suggestion was made to change the Database Maintenance to help reduce our database size. Upon save all the Screenconnect services restarted and the database maintenance kicked off. We have now been waiting 2+ hours to regain access to our sessions.
