Your comments

Good afternoon and thank you for your participation on the ConnectWise Control product forum.

Since the reported behavior is not a bug with the ConnectWise Control software, I am moving this thread to our Feature Request portal based on the following excerpt so that our Product Management team can review the request:

"All I am asking for is that when clicking on the "Download" button that it detects that Sophos Central is intercepting the request to download an executable file that it changes the web page to the "Sophos Web Protection" page (as in the image far up) or open a new tab/window."

Cheers,

Ben

Good morning,

Thank you for participating in the ConnectWise Control product forum. The behavior you describe is by design. As such, I am moving this thread to the Feature Request portal so that our Product Management team can review your comment.

Good morning,

Thank you for submitting this topic. I certainly understand the desire to have hosts that have been removed from your AD automatically logged out. Since a currently logged-in user's token is generated upon login, and won't be reevaluated until the MaxLongestTicketReissueIntervalSeconds has elapsed for a particular site location when the user is idle (e.g., Host.aspx, Administration.aspx), this user will not be automatically and immediately logged out when their account is disabled in LDAP.

You can decrease the values of MaxLongestTicketReissueIntervalSeconds for various site locations in your web.config to force re-authentication on a more regular basis when a user is idle. For example, the default MaxLongestTicketReissueIntervalSeconds for Host.aspx is 86400 (24 hours). You may want to decrease this value to something like 300 so that idle users are automatically logged out after 5 minutes of inactivity.

I am going to move this thread over to our Feature Request portal for additional evaluation by our product management team.

Ben

Good afternoon,

When you first navigate to the All Machines session group containing 6400 machines, the server returns detailed information about every session in that group (this includes the session name, custom property values, and guest machine attributes for all 6400 machines). Furthermore, whenever a session in the All Machines group is altered (custom property change, host joined, etc), the page makes a call to retrieve the updated session info. Your browser is very likely having trouble processing information for all 6400 sessions (as noted, different browsers process page information differently, hence the performance differential among browsers).

If it's not too much trouble, could you update this thread with your on-prem server specs, including OS, CPU, and memory resources? I will likely move this thread over to our feature request portal so that our product management team can review the information related to your performance improvement request.

Ben

Good afternoon,

I am going to move this thread over to the feature request forum to be reviewed by the product management team.

In the meantime, the following steps may help you achieve what you're attempting to do:

1) Set the following web resource string value to false: SessionPanel.PropertyJoinModeInvitationOnlyVisible

2) Set the following web resource string values to false: InvitePanel.CommunicateUrlVisible, InvitePanel.ComposeEmailVisible, InvitePanel.ComposeEventVisible, and InvitePanel.SendEmailVisible

Once these values are set to false, your hosts will not be presented with the option to create new support sessions with the Invitation Only join mode. Furthermore, if a host selects "Invite" from the session commands popout, they will be presented with an empty modal instead of being presented with invitation options.

Ben

Good afternoon,

Good morning,

Based on our troubleshooting session from Friday and some additional testing I conducted in our development environment, I believe this thread is more appropriately characterized as a feature request to reduce the in-client toolbox load time in situations where tools are queued on 50+ sessions from the host page immediately before joining a session.

Please feel free to update this thread with additional information to fill out the request.

Cheers,

Ben

Your server looks to be adequately provisioned, resource-wise.

If you'd like to schedule a session to your environment so we investigate the delay in loading the toolbox, please submit a request with your availability to extension@connectwise.com, and reference this thread.

Cheers,

Ben
