James, you can use a trigger like the one below to send a custom message. As you can see in the event filter field, I use it in case a guest joins a session without a host, but you can remove that condition (Session.HostConnectedCount = 0) if you want an automatic message to be sent whenever a guest first joins a session.

Indeed, it's not for the faint of heart! But also the Custom Theme Manager extension isn't working anymore. It's been plagued by the following bug which makes it unusable:

Caitlin,

I've tried that, but it isn't what I'm looking for. It only disables (as a default, not as such) the Share Clipboard functionality (bottom row, rightmost), but what I would like to do is to disable (as such) the Send Clipboard Keystrokes functionality (top row, second from left).

Send Clipboard Keystrokes should be added as an option in the Disable Host Client Menu Items section of the Advanced Configuration Editor. Currently, I have to disable it by selecting "SendClipboardKeystrokes" in the Edit App.Config Settings extension, as below.

v20.4 has this. See the first entry here:

The only snag is that you can’t change the logo... They should’ve added that option in the Client Resources section of the Appearances page

At first, this feature was included in the release notes for v20.2, but when I upgraded my instance to v20.2 I saw that it wasn't in fact available.

So, I contacted support and I was told that it was included in the release notes by mistake, that it was now moved to v20.3.

Sure enough, when I upgraded to the preview version of v20.3 it was indeed available. I think the stable version will be released soon. I suggest you hold on just a while longer.

Another feature I’d like to see on the macOS guest client, but is currently only available on the Windows, is the ability to specify the proxy server.

Generally speaking, better alignment between the two clients would be an outcome appreciated by many.

Here's what I've done:

1. Create a new session group called "My Devices" with the following filter: CustomProperty2 LIKE $USERNAME

2. Create a new role called "MyDevicesOnly" with permissions granted only for the new session group

3. Assign the new role to users

4. In the "Site" field for each machine, enter the assigned user's *display name*

If you're already using the "Site" property, you can user one of the others or you can set SessionProperty.Custom5.AccessVisible to "true" in the Appearances page, then change SessionProperty.Custom5.LabelText to "Owner" and use that instead.

I've found two other requests that address similar concerns, so I'll link them here:

https://control.product.connectwise.com/communities/1/topics/1473-sync-language-output-from-local-pc-to-client-like-rdp-session

I've also found out that TeamViewer and Splashtop both have the ability send the language input change key on Japanese and Korean keyboards.

ConnectWise Control could benefit from extending their reach to non-Latin alphabets.

Since voting is disabled, here’s my +1 for the ability to restrict the host pass feature by role.
