Application could not be started

We have installed an on premise install, Version:21.2.2092.7689. We use Win7 & 10 pcs.

On Win7 machines clients attempt to connect but receive an error “application could not be started”. No other join options works. It seems installing .net framework 4.8 runtimes resolves this. Sometimes a Microsoft cert is needed to for .net to install. 

On Win10 machines the first option to join does not work and we have to use URL launch which prompts for the application to install, requiring admin rights. We have deployed a build of Screen Connect Client to the pc’s and this has helped. 

Is there a better we can use for for both client OS.
