Linux RPM doesn't work for access host using NFS home dirs

James Pulver 1 year ago 0

When you have an Enterprise Linux 7.7 with the access client installed, it never fully registers with the server, and the connect to screen is blank.

The client name does not get set by "use machine name" so finding the access session is tricky.

Trying to connect launches the Screen Connect gui, but it does not show the host screen - it's just blank.

I believe this is because the user home directories are stored via NFS and root is squashed. Ideally there'd be a way like Bomgar uses to set the access host to work either as a startup session from the user, or some way to work on the local machine without direct access to the home directories.
