Black Screen on Acer Chromebook

Google Chrome OS version 65.03325.167

ScreenConnect version 5.5.9981.5815 (the only version available in the Chrome Web Store)

I get a black screen after the Screen Connect app is started.  It will initially flicker and I can see the ScreenConnect in the background.  Pressing the esc key also causes the screen to flicker.  Otherwise, the screen remains black and unusable.

I removed the app/extension from my chromebook and reinstalled.  The problem remains the same.

I had been using this app for more than a year without any difficulty.
