The behavior you describe is an intended change we made to the session creation process in 6.3. That being said, I understand your desire to maintain the previous functionality.
We are expecting to release a legacy session creation extension shortly. The extension will allow you to make all newly created support sessions public; it will also allow you to enter a session name for newly created support sessions, similar to the prior session creation workflow. While I'm unable to provide an ETA for this extension, I will update this thread when it's released.
The "Legacy Public Session Creation" extension is now available on the Extension Marketplace.
