mhighsmith 8 years ago updated by anonymous 6 years ago 7

To be able to run a tool with a scheduled time and or date parameter. example i setup the system on Friday to run RESTART.BAT on Monday at 6am.

This is a great request, and although we do not have this option at the moment, I will get this request moving so to hopefully have it soon.

also would be nice if it could use the remotes time instead of the server's time so that we do not run 8 eastern time on pacific time systems.

If implemented, it should support an option similar to Scheduled Tasks where, if the preferred time is missed, it can run the task at its next opportunity. Most of my clients are residentials and they are off/online at any given time.

Alternatively, it would be nice to be able to link this feature to specific groups as I have some clients on MSP-like plans.

Why is my previous comment a month old and still "on moderation"?

Yes, this would be an awesome feature. Also, like Xander said, it would be great if it ran the next time the machine is on if the machine misses the scheduled time.

Maybe this is a different request all together, but is it possible to have something scheduled and have it log into the machine as a specific user? For example, I needed to run this script to install this program, but the script requires that someone be logged into the computer. I ended up logging into a dozen or so computers myself just for this to run, but it would save me a ton of time if it could just login itself to run the script.
