Disable SendClipboardKeystrokes from Advanced Configuration Editor

Simon 4 years ago updated by Caitlin M Barnes (Product Manager) 4 years ago 6

Currently, we have to use a different extension, Edit App.Config Settings, to disable this functionality on the host client.

It'd be helpful if we could disable it from the Advanced Configuration Editor.

Hi Simon,

That option exists in the Advanced Configuration Editor - under Web Config quick settings:

Caitlin,

I've tried that, but it isn't what I'm looking for. It only disables (as a default, not as such) the Share Clipboard functionality (bottom row, rightmost), but what I would like to do is to disable (as such) the Send Clipboard Keystrokes functionality (top row, second from left).

Send Clipboard Keystrokes should be added as an option in the Disable Host Client Menu Items section of the Advanced Configuration Editor. Currently, I have to disable it by selecting "SendClipboardKeystrokes" in the Edit App.Config Settings extension, as below.

Thanks Simon, I had the options confused. Will register to add to the Advanced Configuration Editor.

I've confirmed that this feature has indeed been added in the newest version of the Advanced Configuration Editor extension. Thanks!

Thanks for staying on top of this Simon! Yes indeed, this is now in the Advanced Configuration Editor extension, and is reflected in our documentation.
