Release Notes organization

When we installed version 19.0 our ScreenConnect/Control users were surprised by the new menus and menu tiles. Once they had time to adjust they like them - but it was an unplanned for Monday morning surprise.

We had scanned the 66(?) items in the "Improvements" list but somehow the 33rd and 34th items in the 69 item list just did not stand out to us:

  • Update .NET client toolbar
  • Implement new Tiled Menu design in .NET host client

We also did a quick exercise of the UI, but we do not use it day by day like our support staff so we missed this.

Please consider highlighting actual UI changes or putting them in a "UI Improvements" section.

Thank you - Richard

While the issues you mentioned were highlighted on the release notes page here: https://docs.connectwise.com/ConnectWise_Control_Documentation/Release_notes/ConnectWise_Control_2019.0_Release_notes

I do agree that in general they need a clear page that highlights changes between builds, I updated our on premise server last week to version 19.0.23234.7027, now I see that version 19.0.23665.7058 is available but I cannot find any release notes for that version.

Thanks for the link and support.

One reason I missed that may have been that we had skipped version 6.9 and we were moving from 6.8 to 19.0 - so I started with the archived release notes which contained version 6.9 and right above that version 19.0 - but no link to any videos.

On version 6.9 there's a link "View condensed release notes" right under the "Current build: 6.9.21691" heading. when I clicked on that it seemed to just be videos and not the detail. I thought version 19.0 also had a "Condensed" link, but I'm not seeing it now.

Anyway, yes a nice highlighted bullet or bullet section that says "UI Changes" would save folks some grief in the future.

Thank you - Richard
