Add support for U2F/FIDO as a two-factor authentication method.

Currently Connectwise Control supports the following 2FA types: Email & SMS, Google Authenticator, YubiKey, Microsoft Authenticator, LinOTP, Duo Security.

It would be great if we could have U2F (Universal Two Factor) authentication added. While the Yubikey OTP option is available, it means non Yubikey hardware devices cannot be used.

Google is about to launch its own security key: The Titan security key.

Obviously browser support is a bit of an issue at the moment, but it has not stopped Google, Facebook, Dropbox among others from launching support of U2F.

For your consideration.

I would love this feature, as it's a nicer end user (for hosts) experience than OTP.  Also, please model after google and gitlabs U2F implementation, allowing multiple keys with one time code backups.  Many utilize multiple hardware keys .. one in the office and one everywhere else and/or a backup in case one gets lost.

Yes, please.  My phone is on the charger upstairs right now.  I want to connect to a machine and I'm literally staring at my Google Titan key wondering where the support for U2F/FIDO is now.

This is a deal breaker for me with Financial institutions. SMS can be spoofed and people loose or have their phones stolen all the time.

We don't have this specific provider roadmapped, but I would recommend using an external IdP for authentication, then you can leverage any 2FA methods supported by the IdP.
