Extensions for Chrome and Edge

Krishna 6 years ago updated by Caitlin M Barnes (Product Manager) 6 years ago 2

We have noticed that customers are reluctant to download and install exes. It will be much more safer for the end-user to add as extension for Chrome and Edge

Hi Krishna,

Building extensions for Chrome and Edge would not give us full  desktop control. I would recommend using the support session, as the support session is a one time run client and is not installed on the guest machine. https://docs.connectwise.com/ConnectWise_Control_Documentation/Get_started/Remote_support_guide

I would also add that if you have a lot of customers pushing back on installing access agents, you should look at the SOS deployer extension. This extension will allow you to put a shortcut on the customer's desktop that will allow them to initiate a session when needed.
