HostSessionWithConsent not terminateing after ending a session

Screen Connect User 3 years ago updated by Ben Burner 3 years ago 1

When a Technician ends a session with a user, the technician is still able to rejoin the session without the users approval for consent to take over the computer. I have changed the value in AutoConsentAfterSeconds but still not luck. is there a work around to set the consent to expire right after ending a session?

Good morning,

Assuming you're using 6.0+, the web.config setting you're looking for is "ConsentExpireSeconds". This setting governs the length of time for which a "yes-consent" or "no-consent" response is enforced. By default, "ConsentExpireSeconds" has the value 3600 (one hour).

You can decrease the expiration to, say, 1 second, so that if a technician connects to a machine for at least 1 second after being granted consent, the technician will need to regain consent before subsequently connecting.

Regards,

Ben
