Connection hangs when changing date on Guest

Manny Sabatel 3 years ago updated by Ben Burner 3 years ago 3

While connected to an XP guest I changed the date from 1/9 to 1/5 and then the connect hung. I attempted to connected again and just received a blank screen. I was able to send commands to the guest and I restarted the ScreenConnect service and then I was reconnected. While I was troubleshooting this the date updated back to the current date automatically. I then changed the date again as above and it did the same thing. I recovered by restarted the ScreenConnect service.

Good morning,

Would you mind upgrading the Windows XP guest client to match your server version (6.0.11622) and retest? Also, can you confirm .NET 4.0 is installed on the Windows XP endpoint (the install path should be C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319)?

I was unable to reproduce the behavior you described in the following environment:

Server: Windows 2008r2 using ScreenConnect 6.0.11622

Host: Windows 10 using 6.0.11622

Guest: Windows XP with .NET 4.0 using ScreenConnect 6.0.11622
