Good morning and thank you for updating the thread.

The behavior you describe is related to how the MS Remote Desktop application interprets the keyboard events sent to it by the OS X guest and originating from the Control host. We are somewhat limited in our ability to affect how third party remote support applications interpret these keyboard events, which is why the shift key press originating from the Control host works as expected on the OS X guest, but does not modify characters as expected on the machine accessed via Microsoft Remote Desktop from the OS X guest.

While I'm unable to say whether or not this behavior will change in future releases of Control, I have added this specific limitation and your comments to the existing issue in our internal bug tracker so that both development and product management is aware of your request.

Ben

Waiting for information

Good morning Keith,

Thank you for your participation on the Control bug forum.

Which OS X RDP client are you using on the Mac guest (e.g., Royal TSX, CoRD)?

Regards,

Ben

The RDP client that is running on the Mac Guest is "Microsoft Remote Desktop" downloaded from the Apple store

Please add me to the list of people that would like to see this fixed.  While using other remote login software this is not an issue so i don't see why it can't be resolved.
