Command-C doesn't work to Copy text in the web portal from the Info Panes

Crosby Loggins 3 years ago updated by Ben Burner 3 years ago 4

When connected to the web portal from a Mac it IS possible to copy/paste data found in the Info Panes on the right (Info, Connection Log, Chat, Remote Commands, Notes), but not with the normal keyboard shortcut (Command-C)!

To Copy, we must right-click and choose Copy from the contextual menu instead. After that Command-V will function normally for pasting.

This has confused some of our techs who are so used to keyboard shortcuts that they assumed it was a missing feature, so they had resorted to manual entry copying of complex strings like scripts and serial numbers to and from the machines - not great for time wasting and inserting additional potential user error failure points during client onboarding, etc.

We have confirmed this issue on Chrome, Safari and Firefox for macOS 10.11 and 10.12.

The issue does not appear to present on PCs.

Thanks for checking it out!!

Good morning,

Thank you for reporting this behavior. I was able to reproduce this on 6.2.12963 and 5.6.10957 host pages using Safari/Chrome on OS X 10.11.6.

I have registered an issue with development and it is currently under review.

Cheers,

Ben
