add the ability to force end users to use certain join methods or limit the join methods available to use

I would definitely upvote this request. We have a lot of issue with our internal users since the version 6.1 was released. Our users are not local admin of their machines and we perform a clean boot every morning... This means that the preferred method backed up in a cookie is deleted every day...

This seems like an issue caused by the way their environment is set up. It's not likely we'll do this unless there is a strong use case. 

Any idea when this feature could be implemented ?

With other remote tools like Teamviewer, there is no installation required for ad hoc sessions. With Control, the end user has to install something - which the MSP or the customer don't want in many cases, especially when the remote session is a one time thing. So changing the default session launcher to ClickOnce or WebStart would be a massive improvement.
